Our Story
GladGirl's story began in 1981 with our founder, Esther Bolkin.
Esther was a true pioneer in the eyelash extension industry. With her passion for beauty, education, and helping others succeed, she spent decades developing her expertise and sharing her knowledge with lash artists and beauty professionals.
In 2009, Esther's son-in-law, Brian Greene, formally joined her journey and partnered with her to build the business for its next chapter.
Brian focused on expanding the company's online presence, product selection, services, and customer experience while preserving the personal, supportive culture Esther had created.
In January 2016, this evolution officially became GladGirl.
Today, we continue to build on Esther's vision while looking toward the future of beauty.
Honoring Esther's Legacy
Esther was more than a founder.
She was a mentor, educator, innovator, and friend to countless people in the beauty community.
After her passing in 2023, the GladGirl team made a commitment to carry forward the values she established throughout her life: kindness, education, creativity, quality, and genuine support for beauty professionals.
Her influence continues through every artist she taught, every student she encouraged, and every lash artist who continues to practice the craft she helped pioneer.
