Our Story
Hairbrella was founded by Tracey Pickett after she experienced firsthand how difficult it could be to protect a carefully styled hairstyle from rain and humidity.
Growing up around a hair salon in Southwest Atlanta, Tracey watched women use umbrellas, newspapers, plastic bags, and other temporary solutions whenever rain threatened their hairstyles. Later, while attending college, law school, and working in the corporate world, she continued to see the same problem affecting women from different backgrounds.
After searching for a solution that combined fashion and function, Tracey decided to create one herself. Years of experimentation and product development eventually led to Hairbrella, a brand built not simply around hats, but around the need for better ways to protect and care for hair.
